How We Built It — The Technical Spec

Data Sources
The dashboard pulls from four live APIs:
- Google Search Console API — keyword impressions, clicks, average position, and indexed page status
- Google Analytics 4 API — sessions, users, traffic sources, bounce rate, top pages, session duration
- Google Business Profile API — profile views, direction requests, calls, photo views
- Google Ads API — campaign spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, cost-per-conversion
All four are connected via OAuth — meaning we never store your passwords, and you can revoke access at any time.
Architecture
The dashboard is a web application with a secure login. Each client gets their own account with their own isolated data. The backend runs scheduled data pulls every 24 hours for ranking data and every hour for GA4 and GBP metrics. The frontend is built with clean, simple components — big numbers, clear trends, no clutter.
Keyword Rank Tracking
This is the piece most agencies skip entirely because it requires extra infrastructure. We use the Search Console Performance API combined with position tracking logic to monitor daily rank changes for each target keyword. You’ll see a trend line — moving up or down — and we get an internal alert if a key term drops more than 3 positions in a week so we can act fast.
Lead Attribution
When someone calls your business, how do you know if they found you through Google Ads, organic search, your GBP, or a Facebook post?
